Literature: Van Rietbergen and Koster's Dynamics in Economic Geography, and Acemoglu, Liabson and List's Economics. Essential to the course are the (Virtual) Field Labs, where students learn to work with data using Metroverse and do fieldwork in the Groningen region.

Two streams: theoretical foundations of labour markets (using Boeri & Van Ours "Imperfect Labour Markets") in combination with practical assignment with local stakeholders where theories are applied to real-life case studies.
